Hello friends! Welcome to Fill Your Cup by yours truly, Cameron Rogers.

I am so excited you’re here. I’m a NJ-bred, and now based, mom of two boys, content creator, and podcast host of the The Freckled Foodie & Friends podcast, who is here to help you fill your cup, choose joy, and navigate this rollercoaster of life.

As someone who has always struggled with (and openly shared about) my mental health, my first postpartum experience in 2021 absolutely rocked me. I was so focused on giving everything to my son that I hit a new level of burnout, exhaustion, and depression I knew I couldn’t sustain.

I realized the saying, “you can’t pour from an empty cup” existed for a reason… I started doing small things to better myself: meditating, journaling, exercising, getting fresh air, chatting with friends, reading romance novels, and more. I felt better as a person, and as a mom. Now, as I navigate motherhood with two young boys, I’m adjusting to my new normal and finding ways to prioritize my wellbeing. I’m so excited to share my experiences and tips & tricks to hopefully help you feel less alone.

What to expect… Here we have three weekly segments, Mom Musings, Podcast Episodes, Filling My Cup and one monthly segment, Expert Chat.

  • Weekly Segments

    • Mom Musings (exclusive to paid subscribers) will be journal-style excerpts in the motherhood space that dive into the unfiltered content I share on social media. The goal of this segment is to provide journal prompts to kickstart your own reflections and to remind you that you are not alone.

    • Podcast Episodes will be a post dedicated to that week’s podcast episode. Paid subscribers will receive exclusive offerings such as behind the scenes content, exclusive guest questions, and other fun things!

    • Filling My Cup covers my favorite picks of the week, including (but not limited to) clothing, podcasts, books, and things my kids are loving. These are weekly recommendations that can inspire you to fill your own cup!

  • Monthly Segments

    • Expert Chats (exclusive to paid subscribers) is something I have wanted to bring to life for years and I am so excited to offer! After being inspired by and in awe of this incredible community we’ve built, I want to take this a step further and provide virtual events. These events will take place over Zoom with experts on different topics in the parenting space (think: lactation consultant, starting solids, feeding schedules, child psychiatrists, etc.) for us to connect, chat, ask questions, and learn. Planning an event for all parents to attend is nearly impossible, so you will have access to all the archived videos. Stay tuned for details on each event date!

Why Substack? Similar to why I started my podcast years ago, I want to expand this incredible community. I want a place to share longer-form content that allows me to create in real-time.

  • Why Paid? I do not expect everyone to be a paid subscriber, but I want to honor my privacy while connecting with like minded people. I sometimes yearn for a smaller and more close-knit community like I had in the beginning of Instagram, and this is what I’m hoping to achieve here. Plus, subscribers will get early access to any events and/or product launches and exclusive discount codes from some of my favorite brands!

I am SO happy to have you and so excited for this platform. It’s time to fill your cup!!!
