Is it just me or is October kicking anyone else’s ass?? I feel like this year it is busier than usual because, at least for my line of work, everyone is trying to fit everything in before the election and then the holiday season. Between the abundance of incredible work opportunities (that I am so eternally grateful for) and a bunch of personal things happening this month, I feel like I am forced to take it day by day. Sometimes that is incredibly helpful, but on the off day that things slow down a bit (like Wednesday this past week), all the anxiety comes rushing to the forefront and my god do I feel emotional. Alas, this mom had many of meltdowns. What has been absolutely crucial this month is filling my cup, so here is what I’ve been up to this past week…

What I’m Watching -
Tell Me Lies: My god that Season 2 finale was INSANE. Truly insane insane insane. My jaw was dropped the entire time and I am still texting all of my friends about it. The twists and turns were never ending and (SPOILER) Stephen proved just how truly psychotic he is. Talk about playing the long game and holding on to grudges (shocked that Joe actually called this happening). I will say, Diana is absolutely coming out on top this season and has turned into a character I love. I feel like I need season 3 immediately.
What I’m Reading -
Sundown Scaries: ScaryMommy picked up the TikTok I made about the sundown scaries in my recent podcast episode and, even though they did me DIRTY with these image stills, I’m honored to have been featured and love that maternal mental health is getting the coverage it deserves
What I’m Wondering -
Where’s the weirdest place you’ve pooped…? Ok I know this is a very odd Q to be asking, but we got into a conversation about this at dinner the other night with our friends (I know, def not an ideal dinner table conversation, but such is life) and now I’m wondering… where is the weirdest place you’ve pooped? It doesn’t even need to be “weird” in my opinion, but I was shamed for going on an Amtrak train?? A girl’s gotta go when she’s gotta go!! Not my fault. (I’m currently writing this while on the bus commuting next to Joe and he’s reading my screen and seriously questioning what my job is right now.)
What I’m Loving -
Updated Morning & Night Skincare Routine: I was recently asked in a TikTok what my current skincare routine is, so I put it all together in this link. I have really been making an effort over the past year or so to take care of my skin, and I’ve been noticing a huge difference. Here are all the products I’m loving and using!
Nood Flasher 2.0 Permanent Hair Removal - as someone who has lasered off hair on multiple parts of their body over the past 15 years, I am loving this product. I have not been great about laser “upkeep” and didn’t expect so much hair to grow back after my pregnancies, so this at home device has been a game changer. I’ve been using it on my armpits and bikini line and noticing a difference. Plus, the pain is completely manageable and I get to do it in the comfort of my own home. My Photo Album and Scrapbook: I officially finished my photo album and scrapbook for my son’s first birthday and I have flipped through it every night since. I love looking at these physical memories of the previous year and seeing how much he has grown. If you’re curious about this process and how I go about commemorating the year for them, I wrote it down in detail in this week’s Mom’s Musings.
What I’m Wearing -
Sezane Blue Blazer and Trousers - I am a new, huge fan of a good looking pant suit, and this one is absolutely perfect. It is tailored to look presentable yet still flowy enough to be comfortable and able to dress up or down.
Sezane Trench Coat - Now that the weather is getting chillier and it is layering season, I am loving this trench coat to throw over any outfit (even my sweat sets.)
NOBULL Sweat Set - Speaking of sweat sets, this one is incredible. The fabric is honestly ideal for all weather conditions and it is water resistant so water legitimately just wipes right off of it. Absolutely my favorite new style and fit of sweatpants I own. If you want a pair, click HERE and you can use my code CAMERON30 for 30% off!
What My Family is Loving -
Mushkins Smoothie Pouches - We are Mush’s number one fan over in this household, so my boys were VERy excited when we received the new oatmeal smoothie pouches. I tested them out myself and they are delicious and will now be a staple in our household.
Toy Story Puzzle - We have entered a massive puzzle phase, and we are doing this one 15 times (or more) a day (no, I’m not kidding.)
BOYS NIGHTTTT - I never in a million years expected this video to go viral the way that it did, but the boys have been a big fan of BOYS NIGHTTTT lately, which is basically how we rephrase the nights that I’m away so that they think of it as something “fun” rather than sad that I won’t be there.
How I’m Filling My Cup -
Working with friends - This week was filled with a lot of in person work and networking and I am so grateful that so much of my job includes connecting with badass incredible women. Between the panels and events I’ve been involved with this week, I have been continuously surrounded by women who inspire me and my god is it an incredible feeling. Plus, so many of them are people I am lucky enough to call friends and what a gift it is to be able to call this “work.”
