The Bachelorette Recap
Everything and anything regarding my little sister's bachelorette that I planned
Welcome to the aforementioned and continuously promised bachelorette recap!!!! I needed some time to decompress and really soak it all in (but honestly just get my shit together) before I sent this out so that it could all live in one place. So here it is!!!! I am soooo happy with how the trip went and feel like I can finally take a deep breath again. It’s been a while since I’ve been on a bachelorette and this is the first one I’ve ever been responsible for planning and wow is it a lot of work. I was so nervous that something was going to fall through the cracks or go wrong or 10,000 catastrophic thoughts I had beforehand so I am very pleased to say that it was an amazing weekend!!!! Massive special shoutout to Falon Sweeney of @travelby.falon who helped me so much with all of the logistics. She coordinated everyone’s travel to/from the airport, booked our dinner reservations, helped us find the boat, and so much more. She was incredible and I cannot recommend her enough!!
Now, let’s get into the details…
Before (or while) you read this post, listen to the bonus episode of Conversations with Cam & Lucy from this morning where we debrief everything in further detail!
Where did we go and stay? We went to the Dominican Republic and stayed at Casa de Campo - this huge gated community that has a ton of villas, a hotel, a marina, some restaurants, and like a mini “town” of sorts. It honestly was insane and is such a great spot for a bachelorette - the houses were gorgeous, the food was great, and we all felt very safe. It was about an hour drive from the SDQ airport, which you can fly to directly from NY. We stayed at THIS house and it was utterly fucking insane. INSANE!!! The whole house was an indoor/outdoor vibe where the hallways and a huge hangout room were quite literally outside and then all of the separate doors took you into your bedrooms and the kitchen / dining room. It had a gorgeous pool and hot tub, was on the golf course, and had a staff at the house that helped cook and clean and take care of anything you could need. It was truly a dream!!!

What did we do? We were very intentional (as we talk about in the pod) of mixing down time with fun time so that we weren’t constantly feeling rushed or busy. Here is how we structured everything:
Thursday afternoon - majority (14) of us flew in and got to the house around 3:30PM. We had a late lunch, hung out by the pool, I set up with a few of my minions, and then we surprised Lucy with all the photos and gift bags.
Thursday night - went to a chill dinner at La Casita (in CDC) and then went back to the house and played games
Friday morning - breakfast and pilates at the house thanks to Well Reserved (an awesome company that has instructors come to your house - code CAMERON for $45 off) and the remaining girls arrived
Friday daytime - pool party at the house and a bit of “pick your activity”. Some people were playing beer games, some were lounging by the pool, some (me) were napping, etc
Friday night - drinks at the house and then a fun dancing dinner at SBG (in CDC). This was suchhhh a fun dinner and the ideal girls night of a good meal and then dancing around/on the table. Then we came home and played more games at the house
Saturday morning - breakfast at the house and lounge
Saturday daytime - boat day (with Out Boating) that picked up / dropped off at the marina in CDC and took us to a gorgeous nearby beach
Saturday night - dinner at the house and more games
Sunday morning - everyone flew home
What did we wear? Lucy absolutely killllllled her looks and I know everyone wants the links, so here we go!!! Everything we wore is linked HERE, but here is the breakdown by look:
Special shoutout in terms of our looks to this Rowenta steamer because it absolutely saved all of us!! Given that Lucy legitimately did not unpack her bag (I simply cannot), I have no idea what her plan would have been had I not been prepared!! It was so easy to travel with and is hands down the best steamer I’ve ever used. I will have it in my suitcase for every trip moving forward.
What did we give the girls? So I want to note that these packed gift bags are so not necessary, but given that I have the relationships with the brands that I do, I wanted to spoil Lucy and her friends! I felt like a PR fairy godmother and it was honestly so fun for me. Here is everything we included (and the video here):
Vintage I Love Lucy shirts for everyone. This was my absolute favorite thing we did and I loved how every night all 18 of us were in the shirts. We sourced them all from eBay, Depop, and Poshmark.
Charm Necklace: These were the CUTEST and such a big hit. We had custom ones for all the girls with their initial and then a bride one for Lucy

And then generally for the house we had sticker decals done by @just.craftnaround, Sayso spicy margarita mocktail tea bags, Funboy pool floats, pictures that we had printed, and some balloons.
Phew that was a lot so thank you for still being here!! For anyone else in the weeds of bachelorette planning - I am sending hugs, coffee, and prayers that it all goes smoothly and is worth it!!! I’m so grateful that I was able to do all of this for my little baby and I cannot wait to continue to celebrate her next month!!
Loved this recap! So fun and memorable! Thank you both for sharing and Cam you planned this perfectly!!❤️❤️
