I loved this episode and have so many thoughts.
1. I’ve been taking a break from social media since mid March and I have noticed that I feel less worried about things because I’m not inundated with content. Do I miss scrolling and my favorite influencers? Yes. Also my screen time hasn’t really gone down because I’m either playing puzzles or googling random things but I have noticed a little positive shift in how I feel.
2. All the feelings and symptoms around your cycle are so relatable. I trend towards anger/rage vs depressive episodes but I think maybe it’s not realistic for us as women to feel the same all the time considering the hormonal fluctuations that occur throughout the month. And thinking we should feel happy or good all the time is kind of an impossible standard we’ve been sold. Also I’m a couple years older than you so this may not be the case for you but there are so many symptoms associated with perimenopause that go unnoticed like heart palpitations, brain fog, low energy, anxiety/depression. I’m currently pregnant with my 3rd and fully expect to go from postpartum to perimenopause so I’ve been reading a lot/listening to podcasts about it.
Thank you for always sharing the way you do! Love Wednesday mornings with you!
