Filling My Cup with Dressing for Me, Crafting, and Finding Ways to Support Anyone in Need Who Are Affected By The Fires in Los Angeles
Intro - Happy 2025!!! It feels like forever (because it kind of has been??). I have a lot to share, but first I want to highlight what is happening in Los Angeles right now. I simply cannot fathom the emotions LA residents are experiencing right now and my heart hurts for the city that I have come to love so much. If you are someone who has been displaced and are in need of things, please reach out so that I can try to help. I also want to highlight a few charities and groups that are on the ground assisting those in need:
California Fire Foundation - Provides critical support to surviving families of fallen firefighters, firefighters, and the communities they serve
Baby2Baby - Helping get essentials to children in need
LeGreatOutdoor - You can send a meal to firefighter or first responder - they are sending meals 2x daily
World Central Kitchen - Providing meals to those impacted by the fires
Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation - Equipping firefighters with tools and supplies to contain the infernos
Help Clean The Palisades GoFundMe -A GoFundMe directly helping to clean up the affected areas of the Palisades. Funds will be used for supplies and a portion will also go towards the LAFD.
Shop Pickle - Is coordinating LA clothing donations. You can donate or sign up to receive support through them.
Conversations with Cam -
Calendar-Gate, In-Law Holidays, and the Hell of Self-Tanner with Lucy
In this episode, I catch up with my sister, Lucy, after New Years to talk about how she feels about the โCalendar-gateโ video going viral, whether sheโll ever get a calendar, and how the bridesmaids dress search is going so far. She talks about how her Christmas with the future in-laws went this year, how we revert back to the โboxesโ weโre put in with โฆ
What Iโm Watching -
Fall Guy - I donโt know how I am so behind on the movie scene lately (I mean, given that Iโm not a โmovie personโ, I do?), but I watched this one over holiday break and loved it. I was explaining my current romance novel to my brother-in-law and movie-buff, Tyler, and he told me it sounded just like the Ryan Gosling (one of my top hearthrobs) and Emily Blunt movie so I was immediately in. It was longer than I prefer, so yes we did in fact split up between two nights, but I loved it. A cinematic masterpiece in terms of stunts and a comedically filled love story that gave me butterflies
Missing You - I saw a TikTok recommending this show so I gave it a try and it was so bad??? I only made it through one episode so maybe it changes? But was a no for me.
What Iโm Listening To -
Raising Good Humans with Drew Barrymore - Two of my absolute favorites, Dr. Aliza Pressman (my parenting guru) and Drew? Say less, Iโm immediately in. I loved the idea of the gratitude box!
What Iโm Reading - I did a lot of reading over holiday break, so letโs get into itโฆ
Shadows of You - Book 4 of the Lost & Found Series (which you can read alone but I do recommend reading in order) brings more crime to this small town but this oneโs love-story spin is the โI see the real himโ trope line of a misunderstood man, Roan. TW for emotional & physical abuse.
Ashes of You - The final book 5 of the Lost & Found Series (which you can read alone but I do recommend reading in order) is, once again, filled with crime infesting this small town (I really donโt understand how but here we are). This trope line is the โforbidden loveโ romance style as the police chief and single dad, Lawson, feels he canโt (and shouldnโt) be with his new nanny, Hallie.
Wild Love - The first of the Rose Hill series. An โenemies turned loversโ plotline of a super successful billionaire, Ford, who returns home to start his own music label and finds himself hiring his best friendโs younger sister, Rosie, who he has historically always butted heads with. To no surprise, the hate was really masked love. Smutty so reader be warned!
Wild Eyes - Book 2 of the Rose Hill Series and my favorite of the series thus far (book 3 releases in March). I honestly havenโt felt as wrapped up in a book in a long time and I absolutely loved this one. A famous country singer, Skylar, ends up in Rose Hill (a small mountain town in Canada) and finds herself bunking up with a burly horse trainer and single dad, West. Let me tell you, this man is the definition of โwritten by a womanโ. Very smutty and spicy so reader be warned.
What Iโm Wearing -
Staud One Piece Swimsuit - I recently got this suit for my trip to Florida and absolutely love it and based on all of the DMs for link requests, so do all of you
Lionness Rugby Long Sleeve - Iโm embarrassed by how much Iโve worn this ever since buying it, but I cannot be stopped. It is SO comfortable
The Row dupe bag - I was influenced by Kelly Grae Mae at our pod recording to get this dupe and I love it so much. You kind of get what you pay for in terms of material and structure, but I cut out the inner lining and feel it definitely gets the jo done and is stylish. I also added these and these bag charms to give it some extra flair!
What Iโm Eating -
Material Kitchen: Not necessarily eating these, but I use Material Kitchen all the time when Iโm cooking, specifically their cutting boards, so I wanted to highlight that we now have a discount code to share!! CAMERONMATERIAL for 20% off
What Iโm Doing -
Paint Anywhere - I am officially in my crafty era! I was recently gifted this paint anywhere kit (think of it as a paint by numbers) and it was so enjoyable and I was wildly impressed by the final resutl
Recent Saves -
Demi Moore Golden Globes: I loved this speech because it is so true - success can take TIME! Have patience, trust the process, and keep showing up
How Iโm Filling My Cup -
Prepping to make 2025 my year! I love sitting down and mapping out what worked for me in the past year, what my highlights were, what Iโm looking to do in 2025, what Iโm manifesting, and how I can reach those goals. It brings me SO much joy to do this and I feel Iโve finally found a process that works for me. I did a full video on this process for anyone who is interested, but one of the highlights was this Chat GPT prompt that I saw on TikTok. You simply type in the below and follow the prompts! โI want to create my goal and vision for 2025. Please guide me through this process by asking me 10 questions one by one and when I'm done answering the 10th question please write my dream life story for 2025, what my 2025 affirmation will be, and then my top 5 goals broken down by business, relationship, family, money, and lifeโ
I listened to this Raising Good Humans / Drew episode too! It was soo good and filled with so many great little nuggets of advice. I loved the simple reminder of having kids actively thank the people in their community through out the year and not just during December. We might just be giving our bus driver a Valentineโs Day card this year. : )
So much goodness! Thank you for sharing all the ways to help those in need in LA. Love your inspiration for dressing for me and of course the Lucy episode was so fun! Hope you have an amazing weekend with your sweet boys!๐ค๐
