Filling My Cup Week with Cross-Stitching, City Walks, and More
This week was filled with Fibula, cheesy eggs, biker shorts, and toys in bed... but not the kind you're probably thinking
Happy Friday my people!
Can you believe it's the last weekend of July?! Time is flying by and I'm not ready for summer to end. I’m hoping to slow down in August and soak up the warm weather but we have lots to cover from this week, so let’s get right to it!

When Two ADHD People Record a Podcast with Connor Wood, aka Fibula
In this episode, I sit down with Connor Wood, aka Fibula, to talk about everything from how our ADHD brains feel on weed; to why this is a high-stakes podcast episode for Connor; to the hell of navigating ride shares at LAX...
What I’m Watching
Solid Starts Expert Chat: We had our July Expert Chat with a senior feeding and swallowing specialist from Solid Starts this week and it was so amazing. Kary is super informative about baby-led weaning, her experience in the medical field, and how she recommends starting solids. She answers a ton of listener questions around gagging, how to best serve different sized foods, what to do with a picky toddler, and so much more. I know everyone has a lot going on, especially those of us with little ones returning to school, so we’re taking a short break from Expert Chats next month but will be back at it in September. If you missed the chat, the recording is available below!
What I’m Listening To
Kim Kardashian on She MD: I did a swap with She MD this week (another Dear Media show that is so incredibly informative on female health). During my research on the pod, I listened to a few episodes and loved this one for so many reasons. First and foremost, I’m a sucker for Kim K. Second, multiple women in my family have psoriasis so it is something I’m familiar with (and could be susceptible to). This episode helped my mom/cousin/aunt so much… For anyone else with psoriasis, I recommend listening!
Did We Just Become Milfs Podcast: I had a blast guesting on this podcast last week and discussing my experiences with motherhood, specifically transitioning from one to two kids.
What I’m Eating
Slow Scrambled Cheesy Eggs: I've been hyper fixated on breakfast lately and this week’s favorite is slow-scrambled cheesy eggs, Trader Joe’s hash browns (the best), and Amylu breakfast sausages from Costco. Perfect start to my day!
What I’m Loving
Matchaful: I went to Matchful with my friend Elizabeth and let her take charge of ordering (because she’s a regular)… and now I’m obsessed with their iced matcha latte with homemade coconut milk, maple syrup, and vanilla. It is delicious! I legit took an earlier train the other day so that I could get my fix before I had to be in the studio.
Biker Shorts: Ever since COVID quarantine I have this weird thing where I cannot wear tight material on my calves… so I have started to despise leggings and I’m all about biker shorts this summer. I recently tried some Amazon knock-offs of the Lululemon Align 6” shorts and I swear they are legit the exact same shorts. Got a bunch of colors to keep me comfy all week.
Seed: I’ve been using and loving Seed for 5+ years now and still am their biggest fan. I take their DS-01 Daily Synbiotic every morning and it helps so much with digestion and gut health (i.e. regularity and ease of pooping). I also just started their vaginal probiotic and am excited to share my thoughts after I test it out for a couple months. Use code FF25 for 25% off seed!!
Cross-Stitching Frame: I’ve been framing all my finished cross-stitches and they make adorable gifts. My toddler’s “to infinity and beyond” was a hit!

What My Family is Loving
Car Diaper Caddy: The other day I was taking both boys to camp drop off and my baby graced me with a poop on the car-ride over. Since we were going into class and the teachers love to hold him and play for a bit, there was zero chance I was bringing him in there stinking up the place. Thankfully I remembered I had my full car diaper caddy in the back and simply changed him in the trunk of the car once we parked. If you’re a suburban parent with a car, highly recommend setting one up to keep in your trunk!
Tonies Box: We’ve had the Tonies Box forever, but we are deep in the phase right now. The box lives on our kitchen island right now and our toddler plays with it all morning. I even let him bring it to bed because he “wanted to keep playing”, to no surprise, he played for about 5 more minutes, then passed out. Toddlers man, they’re all about control.
Garage Shelves: Finally getting around to organizing our garage!! I ordered this shelving unit and, after my mom told me there was no way I could build it, I knew I had to prove her wrong. This is surprisingly pretty easy to put together solo and the garage feels so much cleaner.
How I’m Filling My Cup
Embracing Summer Fun: As a recovering perfectionist, I’m learning to stretch my schedule and embrace some spontaneous fun. This weekend, I played tennis with my dad at a later court time than I would’ve liked but my mom and the boys watched while we played, we did a bottle on the walk home, and we even got back in time to put the baby down and have some extra fun with my toddler. Did they go to bed a little later than usual? Yes. Was everything totally fine? Yes. Did we have so much fun? YES!
Summer memories are the best! My son starts school next week (yes, it’s wild that we start school this early), so soaking up the last weekend of summer!!! And those biker shorts are everything!!! Have an amazing weekend with your sweet family!
Ok but how do you make slow-scrambled cheesy eggs?! I feel I’ve been scrambling my eggs wrong my whole life
